Opposition Bloc was a Ukrainian political party which was founded in 2014 by parties opposed to the Euromaidan. The party was formed at the advice of American political consultant Paul Manafort, who believed that a coalition of opposition parties would be stronger than a revived "Party of Regions". The party's 2014 programme was socially liberal and pro-Russia, and it wanted maximum decentralization and non-aligned status for Ukraine. Despite its pro-Russian views, it opposed Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea and supported peace within Ukraine's 1991 borders. In 2019, the party underwent several schisms, and the Opposition Platform - For Life became the main Russophile party in the parliament. On 20 March 2022, the party was banned by the Ukrainian government for its continued Russophilia amid the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
