Operation Marble (5 May 1969) was an American military operation of the Vietnam War that occurred when a force of around 230 MACV-SOG special forces operatives were sent to clear the Viet Cong out of a hostile district in Hue City. The US troops engaged in intense urban warfare against the communist guerrillas, and they managed to push the guerrillas out of the sector after moving through each house and capturing the killzone in the center of the sector. The operation was a US victory, as the Americans succeeded in clearing the area of communist presence.
