
Olziin Badrakh (1895-30 July 1941) was General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party from 11 December 1928 to 30 January 1929, succeeding Tseren-Ochiryn Dambadorj and preceding Bat-Ochiryn Eldev-Ochir. He was executed in the aftermath of the Great Purge.
Biography[]
Olziin Badrakh was born in Davst, Mongolia in 1895, and he was recruited by the Soviet Union to challenge the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party old guard alongside several other rural radicals in 1928. He was General Secretary of the MPRP Central Committee from 1928 to 1929, and he was purged from the Central Committee in 1932 for his role in the "Leftist Deviation" within the MPRP. From 1932 to 1934, he served as Health Minister, but he was arrested for counterrevolution in 1937. In 1941, he was sentenced to death and executed. He was rehabilitated in 1963.
