Oleksandr Muzychko (19 September 1962-24 March 2014) was a Ukrainian politician who was the leader of the Right Sector fascist political party. Having fought in the Second Chechen War, he killed twenty Russian soldiers, and was wanted until his assassination in a Rivne cafe in March 2014.
Biography[]
Muzychko was born in Kizel, Perm Oblast, Russian SFSR in the Soviet Union, and joined the Ukrainian National Self-Defense Force during the Second Chechen War, fighting the Russian Army. He was credited with killing around 20 captive Russian soldiers during the conflict, and in 2003 he was arrested for racketeering and kidnapping. Muzychko's beliefs included fighting communists, Jews, and Russians, and he was known to have a dark side to his personality; he once grapped the Prosecutor of Rivne Oblast's necktie and shouted obscenities at his face, as well as hitting him.
On 11 March 2014, the Russian State Duma sanctioned his assassination to follow Mossad examples, pinning Dmitro Yarosh and Muzychko to their board of wanted criminals.
