Trump International Hotel DC

The Old Post Office is a historic building located at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC, a half-mile from the White House. The Old Post Office was built from 1892 to 1899 in the Romanesque Revival style, while featuring DC's third-tallest bell tower in the city. This post office assumed the functions of the General Post Office) on F Street, and it served as the city's general post office until the outbreak of World War I. Afterwards, the Old Post Office served as a federal office building and was nearly torn down during the construction of the Federal Triangle complex from the 1920s to 1930s and again in the 1970s. The building was renovated in 1976 and 1983, when a food court, retail space, and roof skylight were added. The building was home to the Trump International Hotel from September 2016 to 11 May 2022 and to the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC after 1 June 2022.
