Old Bailey

Old Bailey is a street in the City of London that is famously home to the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales. Old Bailey follows the route of the ancient wall around the Roman city of Londinium, and the hanging of criminals from Old Bailey and Newgate Prison were a public spectacle in the street until May 1868. In 1973, Old Bailey was the site of a Provisional IRA bombing that killed 1 and injured 200 people.
