The Okteres Blockade was a three-ship naval blockade established by the Ptolemaic Egyptian navy around the port of Euhemeria in the Faiyum Oasis in 48 BC. The nomarch Berenike ordered Orestis Artinallis to establish a blockade to maintain Faiyum's security; his watchful presence over Faiyum's shores was a continual reminder to the citizens of Euhemeria of the might of Ptolemy XIII's navy. However, the medjay Bayek, who was bent on taking down the oppressive Greek regime in Faiyum, assassinated Artinallis and killed several of his men, defeating the blockade.
