Okimi Yoshiya (1967-15 December 1988) was a Japanese woman who lived in Kabukicho, Tokyo during the 1980s. On 15 December 1988, the yakuza lieutenant Hiroki Awano took her dancing at the Dolphin discotheque, where she would witness Awano's confrontation with Kazuma Kiryu during the Dojima-gumi's manhunt for Kiryu. After Kiryu refused to betray Tetsu Tachibana to Awano, an enraged Awano shot Yoshiya dead in an attempt to intimidate Kiryu, but Kiryu insisted on leaving and declining Awano's final offer of clemency.
