Ogai Kawabata (born 1958) was a Japanese yakuza who was affiliated with the Atobe-gumi family of Asakusa, Tokyo during the 2000s. On the night of 7 December 2005, he accompanied Captain Matashichi Asai when he traveled to the Debolah club in Kabukicho to retrieve the boss' rebellious daughter Kyoka Atobe and the money she had stolen from her father with the purpose of eloping with her lover Takashi Fujiwara. However, Takashi's estranged father's associate Kazuma Kiryu intervened, beating down all of the Atobe-gumi men and rescuing Takashi and Kyoka.
