Ocoro is a department of Bolivia, bordering Itacua and the Rio Uruqui to the west, Espiritu Santo, Villa Verde, and Caimanes to the east, La Cruz Province to the south, and the Parque Nacional de Agua Verde and the Lake Agua Verde in the north. The abundance of water from the Uruqui, the Rio Habana, and Lake Agua Verde provided fertile soil used for the development of a rich agriculture. Ocoro became a center not only of hunting, cereal culture, fishing, and cattle breeding, but also of the cocaine-making industry. Santa Blanca Cartel boss Rodrigo Carlos Pérez Morales made Ocoro the center of his cocaine labs, and an old fish factory was used to house the main coca paste lab until its destruction during Operation Kingslayer in 2019.
