Oan Ali Mohammed (1953-5 May 1980) was a DRFLA leader.
Biography[]
Oan Ali Mohammed founded the Democratic Revolutionary Front for the Liberation of Arabistan (DRFLA), and he supported the Arab sovereignty movement in Iran. On 30 April 1980, Mohammed and five other DRFLA members took over the Iranian embassy in London, United Kingdom, demanding the release of Arab prisoners from Khuzestan, the safe passage of the terrorists out of London, and Britain's diplomatic support for an independent Khuzestan. However, the terrorists became frustrated with their lack of progress and killed one of the hostages, leading to the SAS storming the building. Mohammed and four of the other terrorists were killed, while one of the terrorists was captured.
