The Nuclei Armati Rivoluzionari (NAR) was an Italian neo-fascist militant organization that was active from 1977 to 1981. The group was directed by former RAI child actor Valerio Fioravanti, and it consisted of former Italian Social Movement militants. The Banda della Magliana gang of Rome provided the NAR with lodging, false papers, weapons, and bombs, and it plotted to assassinate Francesco Cossiga, Gianfranco Fini, and Adolfo Urso. In 1980, it carried out the Bologna massacre, and the NAR dissolved in 1981.
