The Nuclei Armati Proletari (NAP) was a far-left terrorist group active in southern Italy from 1974 to 1977, during the "Years of Lead". The NAP had independently constituted cells, and incarcerated NAP members recruited criminal prisoners into their ranks. The group was responsible for terrorist attacks in southern Italy, and it dissolved in 1977.
