Northwestern Army

The Northwestern Army was a 20,000-strong White army that was active from 1 July 1919 to 22 January 1920 during the Russian Civil War, with Nikolai Yudenich serving as its commander. The army was created by the Estonian general Johan Laidoner during the Estonian War of Independence, and it united the "Northern Corps" and other scattered anti-Bolshevik forces in Pskov province under common leadership. In January 1920, the Northwestern Army was crushed by the Red Army during the civil war.
