The Northern Mariana Islands is a United States territory in the Pacific Ocean, having "commonwealth" status (the only territory to have such a status, apart from Puerto Rico). It includes all of the Mariana Islands except for Guam, and it had a population of 53,883 people in 2010, with most people living on Saipan, Tinian, or Rota.
