Return to the Bates Motel:[]

In 1981, Bates was released from the asylum after being declared to be no longer insane. He began to work at a diner upon his release, where his Aunt, Emma Spool also worked. Norman was unhappy to find out that Warren Toomey was turning his motel into a party joint, and fired him.
