Nordland is a county in northern Norway, with Bodo serving as its capital. Nordland was part of the petty kingdom of Halogaland during its ancient history, and it had once been the northernmost area of Norse settlement; however, the non-Norse Sami people have also lived in Nordland for over 2,000 years. In 2019, Nordland had a population of 242,448 people.
