Norûk of the Black Gate was, in Norse mythology, an Orcish captain in the service of Mordor during the Third Age. In TA 2980 (4084 BC), he became a rival of the immortal Gondorian ranger Talion, whom he fought and defeated several times, and vice-versa. Each time, Norûk returned more powerful and angry than the last time.
