Noel Hopkins (20 April 1992-) was a British UKIP politician and far-right activist who served on the Bromland Town Council from 24 June 2018, succeeding Albie Ellis.
Biography[]
Noel Hopkins was born in Bromland, Lincolnshire, England on 20 April 1992 to a working-class English family. He was raised in a family of British National Party supporters, and Noel was once suspended from school after he was caught drawing swastikas in a school textbook. Hopkins was also regularly involved in physical altercations with South Asian classmates, feeding his hatred for the non-white immigrant community of Bromland. In 2013, Hopkins switched his party affiliation to UKIP to campaign for Albie Ellis' mayoral campaign, and he helped UKIP elect five councillors (including Ellis) through canvassing and distributing flyers. Hopkins took part in every anti-immigrant protest that UKIP held until 2018, when, upon Ellis' sudden resignation, Hopkins - who had expressed interest in being placed on the UKIP electoral list ahead of the 2018 local election - was appointed by UKIP to fill Ellis' vacant seat as fellow far-right activist Bennie Foster became UKIP's new leader in Bromland.
