Noble A. Hull

Noble Andrew Hull (11 March 1827-28 January 1907) was the Lieutenant Governor of Florida from 2 January 1877 to 3 March 1879 (succeeding Marcellus Stearns and preceding Livingston W. Bethel) and a member of the US House of Representatives (D-FL 2) from 4 March 1879 to 22 January 1881 (succeeding Jesse J. Finley and preceding Horatio Bisbee Jr.).

Biography[]

Noble Andrew Hull was born in Little York, Georgia in 1827, and he was educated in Savannah before moving to Suwannee County, Florida and becoming a merchant and the county's sheriff in 1858. He served in the state house from 1860 to 1861, in the CSA 1st Florida Cavalry Regiment during the American Civil War, as Lieutenant Governor from 1877 to 1879, and in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1881. He later served as postmaster of Jacksonville from 1884 to 1888, and he died in 1907.
