Noah Martin

Noah Martin (26 July 1801-28 May 1863) was the Democratic Governor of New Hampshire from 3 June 1852 to 8 June 1854, succeeding Samuel Dinsmoor Jr. and preceding Nathaniel B. Baker.

Biography[]

Noah Martin was born in Epsom, New Hampshire in 1801, and he worked as a physician in Somersworth, Pembroke, and Dover before serving in the State House from 1830 to 1832, in the State Senate from 1835 to 1836, in the State House in 1837, as a bank president, and as Governor from 1852 to 1854. He died in 1863.
