The Night Walkers were prostitutes that operated in Manhattan's Five Points slum, and they were described by Johnny Sirocco as "working on their backs, killing with their hands". They were active in the mid-19th century, especially during the 1860s. Sirocco also said that they were so scurvy that only the Plug Uglies would talk to them.
