
Nicoll Halsey (8 March 1782-3 March 1865) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 22) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835, succeeding Edward C. Reed and preceding Stephen B. Leonard. Born in Southampton, he settled in Lodi and later Trumansburg before milling in Ulysses. He served in the state assembly in 1816 and 1824, as Tompkins County sheriff from 1819 to 1821, in Congress, and as a county judge.
