Nicole Malliotakis

Nicole Malliotakis (11 November 1980-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 11) from 3 January 2021, succeeding Max Rose.

Biography[]

Nicole Malliotakis was born in Staten Island, New York City, New York in 1980, the daughter of a Greek immigrant father and a Cuban immigrant mother. She worked as a community liaison for State Senator John J. Marchi from 2003 to 2004 and for Governor George Pataki from 2004 to 2006, and she chaired Marco Rubio's 2016 presidential campaign in New York. Malliotakis went on to serve in the State Assembly from 2011, and, by January 2018, she was one of only two Republicans from New York City to serve in the State Assembly. In 2017, she ran for Mayor against Bill de Blasio, but she lost with just 27.8% of the vote. In 2020, however, she unseated freshman Democratic incumbent Max Rose and won election to the US House of Representatives.
