Nick Brana was an American progressive activist and the founder of the Movement for a People's Party in 2017. He unsuccessfully attempted to gain Bernie Sanders' support for an anti-corporate third party after having worked as an outreach coordinator for Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign, and, in 2022, he fired several MPP leaders for accusing him of sexual harassment in what he called a "false and politically motivated...liberal takeover attempt." The group's leadership controversies led to 2024 People's Party presidential candidate Cornel West switching his affiliation to the Green Party of the United States. Ultimately, Brana began working for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s presidential campaign in late 2023.
