Nicholas Walker (died 1979) was a Klan bomb-maker who was killed in a failed 1979 bombing in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Biography[]
Nicholas Walker was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and he was arrested by Colorado Springs detective Flip Zimmerman for armed robbery, serving a prison sentence at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. In 1979, he prepared a C4 bomb to attack a civil rights rally in Colorado Springs, and he recognized Zimmerman (posing as white Klan initiate "Ron Stallworth") at the initiation event. However, Walker and Felix Kendrickson kept it quiet, intending on telling David Duke at a better time. They then proceeded to carry out "Plan B" of their bombing after the police discovered the first plot; Connie Kendrickson intended to bomb Patrice Dumas' home. However, she was unable to fit the bomb into the mailbox, so she placed the bomb under Patrice's car. Walker, Felix, and Ivanhoe Hauser parked their car next to Patrice's car and detonated the bomb, not knowing where it was hidden; they died in the ensuing explosion.
