Nicholas Edwards () was an American paratrooper during World War II who led the US forces in the Battle of Carentan in 1944.
Biography[]
Nicholas Edwards was born in the United States, and he enlisted in the US Air Force as a paratrooper. Edwards rose in the ranks, and during World War II he fought against Nazi Germany on the Western Front. On 14 June 1944, he led US forces during the Battle of Carentan against the Wehrmacht, defeating the Germans in one of the first US victories against the Germans in France.
