Nicholas Ellsworth Worthington (30 March 1836-4 March 1916) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-IL 10) from 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1887, succeeding Benjamin F. Marsh and preceding Philip S. Post. Born in Brooke County, West Virginia, he became a lawyer in Peoria, Illinois in 1860, and he served on the state board of education and in Congress. He later served as a judge from 1891 until his retirement in 1915.
