
Niam Kuchi (born 1940), also known as Na'im Kucki, was the Governor of Bamian Province under the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He was also the Minister for Tribal Affairs.
Biography[]
Na'im Kucki, also spelled "Niam Kuchi", became famous during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s and emerged as a grand commander. Under Burhanuddin Rabbani's government (1992-1996) he served as the Minister for Tribal Affairs, and during the Taliban regime he served as Governor of Bamian Province. On 1 January 2003 he was captured by the US Army in Paktia Province.
