Ni-Vanuatu, also called Vanuatuans, are a Melanesian ethnic group that inhabit the island of Vanuatu. There are 245,100 inhabitants of Vanuatu, and their languages are Bislama, French, and English. They are Christian (Protestant and Catholic) and Animist, with the French and English languages and Christianity being brought to the island by the colonial powers during the late 19th century.
