The Netiv HaAsara massacre was a massacre of Israeli citizens carried out by Palestinian Hamas terrorists at the southern Israeli town of Netiv HaAsara during the "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" surprise offensive of October 2023. Netiv HaAsara, situated merely 400 meters from the edge of the Palestinian town of Beit Lahia, had been the site of Hamas rocket attacks and Popular Resistance Committees raids in previous years. However, on the morning of Simchat Torah, Hamas terrorists using paragliders infiltrated the Netiv HaAsara moshav and went from house to house, massacring whole families, over 20 people. Electricity in the village went out during the attack, leaving people trapped in safe rooms without power.
