Nestor

Nestor (1315 BC-) was King of Pylos from 1241 BC.

Biography[]

Nestor was the son of Neleus, and he was an Argonaut, helped fight the centaurs, and participated in the hunt for the Calydonian Boar. Nestor became King of Pylos after Heracles killed Neleus and all of Nestor's siblings, and, despite being old, he was known for his bravery and speaking abilities at the time of the Trojan War in 1193 BC. He led the Pylian troops at Troy from his chariot, and one of his horses was killed by an arrow fired by Paris of Troy. As he did not take part in the looting of Troy after the victory, he was allowed to return to Pylos unhindered, unlike the other Greek kings.
