Nesamun

Nesamun (69 BC-) was an Egyptian brewer who lived in Sais during the 1st century BC.

Biography[]

Nesamun was born in Sais, Ptolemaic Egypt in 69 BC, and he became an assistant to the master brewer Harkuf. In 48 BC, he was entrusted with delivering a beer shipment to the Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu, but he decided to nap along the road, and bandits under Neb-em-chut-et Aseiohiamenti abducted him and drank or smashed all of his beer before forcing him to brew more. The medjay Bayek was sent to find out where Nesamun was taken, and Bayek rescued him from the Psenemphaia Hideout after killing all of the bandits. Bayek then told him that he would likely have to prepare a new shipment, and he advised him to not stop along the road next time.
