Nesaia (died 427 BC) was a Champion of Boeotia during the Peloponnesian War.
Biography[]
Nesaia was born in Boeotia, Ancient Greece, and she was a skilled huntress before being recruited into the Champions of Boeotia by Deianeira. In 427 BC, amid Sparta's campaign to reconquer Boeotia from Athens during the Peloponnesian War, the mercenary Kassandra was sent to track down and kill Nesaia by the Spartan general Stentor. She located Nesaia at her hunting camp in Oropos Heights, and Kassandra snuck up behind Nesaia, critically injured her, and killed her in the ensuing fight.
