Negar

Negar (born 3 January 1083) was a courtier of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.

Biography[]

Negar was born on 3 January 1083 to a family of Orthodox Christian Levantines, and on 21 January 1107 she was captured by King Eustache of Jerusalem during the siege of Hama. She was released from prison, and Eustache invited her to his court. On 8 November 1107 she became upset with Eustache when her falcon escaped, so Eustache made her "Keeper of the Swans" and married her to Eustache Grenier.
