Nayarit is a state of western Mexico, with Tepic serving as its capital. Nayarit borders Sinaloa to the northwest, Durango to the north, Zacatecas to the northeast, and Jalisco to the south, and it has a significant Pacific coastline. In 2015, Nayarit had a population of 1,181,050 people.
