The Nationalist Faction was an informal grouping of nationalist politicians in the Aceh Sultanate that was active from 1836 to 1903. The faction was popular among the nobility and the military, as it advocated for military expansion and absolutist monarchial rule. The Nationalist Faction would be one of the main proponents of war against Johore, Malacca, and the Netherlands, and it dissolved upon the Dutch annexation of Aceh in 1903.
