The National United Front of Kampuchea (FUNK) was a monarchist political party and guerrilla organization in Cambodia which existed from 1970 to 1975. It was founded in Beijing, China by the exiled Prince Norodom Sihanouk, and the Khmer Rouge formed the basic military force of the front. The FUNK was loyal to the GRUNK government-in-exile, and Khieu Samphan served as commander-in-chief of the FUNK armed forces. In 1975, the Khmer Rouge seized power and made Sihanouk the figurehead King of Cambodia.
