The National Republican Army (NRA) is an underground partisan group of Russians in Russia that was founded in 2022 with the objective of working towards the violent overthrow of Vladimir Putin's regime.
The National Republican Army functioned as an umbrella group for violent actions against Putinism on Russian soil, such as the assassination of Darya Dugina in August 2022, arson attacks on Russian military enlistment and induction centers, and the 2023 assassination of pro-war blogger Vladlen Tatarsky. Ilya Ponomarev claimed to serve as the group's spokesman while denying personal involvement in its violent acts, resulting in his excommunication by the Russian democratic movement, which branded the NRA as terrorists. Doubts were raised about the group's existence due to only two people purporting to speak for the organization.
