The National Guard is a Mexican gendarmerie which was formed on 26 May 2019 as the successor of the Mexican Federal Police, the military police, and naval police. It intensified President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's Central American and United States border policy enforcement and prevented and combatted crime, and it was founded with a manpower of 60,000.
