The National Alliance (AN) was a national conservative political party in Italy that was active from 1995 to 2009. The party succeeded the fascist Italian Social Movement, which distanced itself from fascism at Fiuggi and adopted conservatism and Italian nationalism as its ideologies. In 2004, the party had 250,000 members, and it supported the traditional values of the Catholic Church, supported law and order, opposed immigration, supported Israel, the United States, and the European Union, and advocated the prohibition of all drugs. In 2009, the party merged into The People of Freedom party.
