The National-Christian Defense League (LANC) was a political party founded by A. C. Cuza in 1923. Its ideology was based on extreme Anti-Semitism combined with Romanian Christian nationalism. Its goals were to gradually remove the rights of Jews in Romania by taking away their citizenship, slowly removing them from business and the military. Its symbol was the Romanian flag with a swastika in the center. They claimed that they did not get the swastika from the Nazis, and that it was a purely Romanian symbol.

It had a paramilitary branch, called the Lancieri, which was known for attacking Jews and disrupting activities in universities.

In 1927, its youth movement, called the Legion of Archangel Michael, lead by Corneliu Codreanu, split off to form its own party due to them considering Cuza to be too moderate. They disliked his professional and legalistic approach to politics and desired a more violent approach to politics.

In 1935, the National-Christian Defense League merged with the National Agrarian Party of Octavian Goga to form the National Christian Party.
