Nathaniel Woodhull Howell (1770-1851) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-NY 21) from 1813 to 1815, preceding Peter Buell Porter and Micah Brooks.

Biography[]

Nathaniel Woodhull Howell was born in Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York in 1770, and he worked as a lawyer in Tioga County from 1794 to 1796 and in Canandaigua from 1796 to 1851. He served as US Attorney for the Western District of New York from 1799 to 1802, a member of the State Assembly in 1804, in the US House of Representatives from 1813 to 1815, and Judge of Ontario County from 1819 to 1832. He died in Canandaigua in 1851.
