Nathan Cutting Brittles

Nathan Cutting Brittles (1816) was an American army Captain who served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He also served in the Plains Indian Wars during the Wild West era. He would later be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and Chief of Scouts in late 1876 after 40 years in the army.
