Nagai Yasutsune (1828-December 1865) was daimyo of the Takatsuki Domain from November to December 1865. He was installed as an independent lord by the Choshu Domain after it recaptured Settsu Province from the Yodo Domain, and he initially supported the pro-Imperial cause. However, the pro-Imperial Tottori Domain declared war on Takatsuki with the objective of expanding its lands in Kansai, forcing Mori Takachika of the Choshu to make the reluctant decision to side with the more powerful Tottori against the smaller, weaker, and inconsequential Takatsuki Domain. Desperate for support, Nagai switched his affiliation to the pro-Shogunate cause, only for the Tottori army to storm his capital of Amagasaki in early December and kill him and his loyalists.
