Myles Curtis

Myles Curtis (1763-1826) was a colonel of the British Army during the French Revolutionary Wars. Curtis commanded a regiment of British line infantry on the island of Cyprus during Napoleon Bonaparte's Egyptian Campaign, and he was captured after the Battle of Vatili. Curtis was released after the Treaty of Amiens in 1802, and he retired to his home in Bury St. Edmunds, where he died in 1826.
