Myer Strouse (16 December 1825-11 February 1878) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 10) from 4 March 1863 to 3 March 1867, succeeding John Weinland Killinger and preceding Henry L. Cake.

Biography[]

Myer Strouse was born in Oberstrau, Bavaria in 1825 to a Jewish family, and he and his father emigrated to Pottsville, Pennsylvania in 1832. He edited the North American Farmer in Philadelphia from 1848 to 1852 before becoming a lawyer in Pottsville in 1855. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1863 to 1867, and he died in 1878.
