Mustafa ad-Dawlah

Mustafa ad-Dawlah (1060-) was the Sultan of the Sultanate of Rum from 1108 until his death. He succeeded his father Jalal ad-Dawlah.

Biography[]

Ad-Dawlah was the son of Sultan Jalal ad-Dawlah, a powerful Seljuk warlord from the city of Iconium. Religiously minded and smart, he became a main general of his father during his campaigning against other Asia Minor warlords, and he defended Caesarea against a siege by the Byzantine Empire during the early 1100s.
