The Muslim Brotherhood is a Sunni Islamist political movement that was founded in 1928 in Egypt by Hassan al-Banna. The society's goal was to instill the Quran and Sunnah as the sole reference point for governing family, individuals, the community, and the state, effectively Islamism. It stated "Allah is our objective, the Qur'an is the constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is our way, death for the sake of Allah is our wish", and its radical views have both positives and negatives: Saudi Arabia is an ally of the group due to its agreement with Wahhabism, but the group has been called a terrorist organization due to links with Hamas and Iraqi insurgent groups (the group collaborated with Nazi Germany to take over Palestine during World War II) as well as due to its planned imposition of sharia law on Egypt after the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. Some even accuse the Muslim Brotherhood of being a tool of Turkey in restoring the Ottoman Empire due to its views on restoring the Ottoman Empire.
