Musk's assault on a factory in Stalingrad was one of the factory battles in Stalingrad. It led to heavy casualties on both sides.
The Battle[]
Beginning[]
Soviet defenders fire towards German Infantry
The 336th Sturmpionier Battalion is sent to Stalingrad as part of 6th Army, it gets sent through train from Italy. The 2 platoons of 2nd company of the battalion moves through Stalingrad. After some time, German Artillery begins barraging the territory infront of them, and some buildings collapse. Hauptmann Musk looks through his binoculars, seeing a factory defended by Soviets, saying "it's our objective at any cost, we begin with that MG nest on right". He then calls through telephone, to cease artillery fire, then asks where are the tanks that were promised. The tanks wouldn't come, so they had to deal with it on their own. They try to be quiet while going towards the factory to not get spotted. As they get closer to the factory, Private Feldmann accidentally fires his rifle, then gets called a "idiot" by Gefreiter Dieter. Musk looks disappointed, knowing his plan just got ruined. Soviets heard the gunshot, and began firing at the German positions, killing a few Germans.
The factory explodes
Germans split into squads and advance, they try to flank the building. Many soldiers die in process, but they succeed to get on the flank. They would carry ammunition box to building entrance, light a dynamite on it. As it explodes, the Soviet MG nests get lit up. Germans soldiers advance further, they get met with another MG nest. Casualty rate rises. Private Feldmann is told to run to the nest, and throw a grenade. Smoke grenades get thrown so he doesn't die too early, he would be given a Stielhandgranate, he began running towards the nest. Finally, he threw the grenade, but after he did that he got mowed down by the Soviet Maxim gun. The nest would explode. Hauptmann says "he had to do it or we wouldn't make it", Germans advance again, and split into two, entering the factory.
Inside the factory[]

Germans enter with a flamethrower, burning enemy soldiers in other sections of factory. Because it's close combat, many friendly fire incidents occur. Some Soviets try to surrender but get shot on spot because Germans "don't have time for this". After all other rooms get captured, the next destination is control room. Germans get a gas barrel on a cart on rail to push it towards Soviet fortifications. After they push it, they take cover quickly, it explodes, making large fire. Germans move up. Leutnant Witzland finds the last Soviet by accident, who is.... "zombified"? He tells him "hands up" in Russian, firing one shot from his P38 in the chest of the Soldier, he takes it like nothing, as he keeps slowly walking up to the officer, but then Gefreiter Wölk runs up behind the Soviet, kills him with shovel and says he just shat his pants. The assault ends, and the factory is captured. They stay there for some time while Soviets are on other side. Some time later they have a very short truce between them but then one of German soldiers ends it by shooting at the Soviets, the German soldiers took a Russian boy "Kolya" with them
